Sitting on the sofa with his identical twin boys on each knee, my brother Daniel, then 35, congratulated us on our news.
‘Imagine if it’s twins?’ he laughed, looking from me to his sons, then 18 months.
‘Don’t even joke,’ my husband Darren, then 35, piped up.
‘One’s enough for us!’ It was August 2021 and, aged 31, I’d just told my family we were expecting.
It was a dream come true.
But multiples weren’t out of the question for us.
