Rafi by Luchetti Krelle

Sydney bar and restaurant Rafi features a playful design by Luchetti Krelle that complements its bold Mediterranean menu. Outside, aperol-toned umbrellas invite diners to indulge in spontaneous aperitivo hours; inside, spirited dining arrangements prioritize innovation and comfort with a maximalist mash-up of materials and pigment pairings. Because Rafi inherited an existing shell-part of a tenancy upgrade that remained vacant over lockdown – Luchetti Krelle included structural changes like aluminium box-frame windows to admit light and visually extend the footprint towards the courtyard. A semi-alfresco glasshouse now wraps around the tree-lined entry terrace, while a row of additional tables flanks the main dining room along the terrace at the rear.
