HOW DO I FOLLOW A COLOUR CHART?
Brush up on your technique with our simple guide…
Getting creative with colour is one of the reasons we love crochet! You can create all sorts of motifs and effects once you can change colour between stitches, using the intarsia, Fair Isle or tapestry crochet techniques. The more colour changes there are, though, the more complicated it is for another crocheter to make the same project – this is why patterns often use a colour chart.
Colour charts visually represent changes in stitch colour, and are usually easier to follow than colour changesto explain how and where to use it. It’s a good idea to read through the pattern before you start.
