The Knitter

Buckwheat

THESE SOCKS, designed by Caroline Birkett, have a textured band around the upper leg, which is created by working a simple lace pattern. The rest of the leg and foot are knitted in a stretchy ribbing, while the heel is strengthened with the Eye of the Partridge stitch pattern. Caroline’s design is knitted in a plant-dyed yarn from Ginger Pink, called Exmoor Sock. It’s a blend of British wools with a touch of nylon for durability.
