Universal design, also known as Universal Building Design (UBD) or inclusive design, is an approach to designing and creating buildings and public spaces that are accessible and usable by everyone, regardless of their age, ability or physical condition. The goal of UBD is to create spaces that are inclusive, safe and convenient for all individuals, regardless of their diverse needs and abilities.
