FIVE AFFORDABLE SUPERCARS

OK, THE definition of ‘affordable’ just got stretched to $50,000 and that can be out of reach for many. However, the profit on a property sale, sign-on bonus for a plum job or a good win at the races could deliver a lump that just begs to be plunged into a once-in-a-lifetime automotive purchase.

True supercars are by definition impractical and unattainable unless you walk amongst the mega-rich. None of the models selected here are new but when they were, some would have spent time in privileged circumstances.

The cars chosen aren’t especially old either. All but one firstappeared during the current Century, but that makes them fairly easy to find in the used market and able to meet our $50K price limit.
