They say that life begins at the end of your comfort zone, and for me, Jasmine Cho, Big Air kiting has been the ultimate test of pushing past my limits, both mentally and physically, and embracing the unknown. I never imagined myself launching off massive waves or performing gravity-defying tricks in the air. But after my first taste of Big Air kiting, I was hooked. The rush of adrenaline and the feeling of weightlessness as I soared above the water was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. And while the journey to becoming a proficient Big Air rider has been challenging, it has also been incredibly rewarding. As someone who discovered kiting later in life and comes from a career completely outside of the sport, I know first-hand how difficult it can be to balance the pursuit of Big Air with other responsibilities.
