If you kept a journal, revisit it often and even enhance it once you're home with an epilogue written with the gift of hindsight.

Every day, jot down a memory of something special from your trip — perhaps a lioness nurturing cubs, sundowners in the company of elephants, the maze of stars at night…

Take time to reflect: what did you absolutely love; what fascinated you or bored you; what would you do differently? While it's fresh in the mind, write notes as reminders for future trips.
