Next row: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. Rep last 2 rows twice (6 rows rib in all).
Knit 2 rows.
Next row: Purl
Next row: Knit Change to 4.00mm needles.
Beg Stripe Patt
Row 1: Using C, knit.
Row 2: Purl.
Row 3: Using M, knit.
Row 4: Purl.
Last 4 rows form stripe patt for rem. Keeping stripe patt correct, inc one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 4th (6th, 8th) row until there are 27 (29, 31) sts. Cont in stripe patt until Leg measures 13 (16, 19) cm from beg, ending with a purl row. ** Leave sts on a stitch-holder.
