Cereals Event: Cereals breaks new ground

Case IH back with a bang

Case IH returns to Cereals with a flourish, giving the first European public display of a new flagship model to its Optum range. The Optum 340 CVXDrive supplements the existing 270hp and 300hp Optum CVXDrive models and extends the series’ power bracket.

Designed to meet the requirements of large farming and agricultural contracting businesses, the new 340 CVXDrive is the top model and most powerful in the Optum AFS Connect range, delivering up to 340hp with an upgraded stepless transmission and the AFS Connect Advanced telematics portal which enables remote monitoring and management of farm, fleet, and data.

It also boasts a spacious, quiet (66dBA) and excellent all-round visibility cab delivering the highest levels of comfort and performance, says Case IH.

The Optum 340 CVXDrive will be showcased alongside the new Puma 260 CVXDrive and new Quadtrac 620 AFS Connect.

TRACTORS AND COMBINES

McCormick X6 and X7

The focus of the McCormick stand is set to centre on key mid-range models from around the UK’s 170hp average power figure. To this end, on display will be key models from the 135-155 max horsepower X6.4 P6-Drive series with six-speed powershift, which includes the X6.414. Also present will be X7 short wheelbase tractors with six-step powershift P6-Drive and continuously-variable VT-Drive. The range includes the four-cylinder 165hp X7.417 and 175hp X7.418, plus the six-cylinder X7.617 and X7.618 with the same maximum power outputs. Potential buyers thereby have a choice of configurations to suit their needs.

Topping the display will be representatives of the latest X7.6 six-cylinder long wheelbase range, spanning 190-225hp with P6-Drive six-step powershift or 210-240hp with VT-Drive. Features include a brake-boosting system to reduce braking effort required while improving driving accuracy and safety. Visitors to the McCormick stand will also find displays of the brand’s latest precision farming technology in conjunction with TopCon, and farmer-focused solutions for finance and minimising cost of ownership.

Fendt technology on show

Fendt offers the opportunity to get a close look at the seventh generation 700 Vario tractor series (203 to 283hp) which features its VarioDrive intelligently controlled all-wheel drive management, eliminating the need for manual switching when changing between field and road operations, driving the front and rear axles as needed and distributing the power dynamically.

The Concentric Air System (CAS) ventilation and cooling concept from the Fendt 1000 Vario is incorporated for improved cooling, and the 700 Vario gains the fully integrated VarioGrip tyre pressure control system for the first time.
