The Greater Kruger is a diverse, connected landscape made up of parks, reserves, farms, towns and villages. Between two and three million people live here, where unemployment, poor service delivery, crime and human-wildlife conflict is rife. Braving the challenges, several women of the Greater Kruger are making a difference in their communities, demonstrating courage, faith and commitment in the face of adversity.
As we celebrate Women's Day on 9 August, we share the inspirational stories of seven courageous women.
