Wins over Okehampton and Ivybridge in the ebbing minutes were vital in Camborne’s impetus to win this title and promotion to National Two next season. Set-pieces, lineout drives and staunch defence were also major factors and Jack Heazelton, Tommy Lee-Southworth and Dec Prowse featured in all 22 matches, 18 of which were won. Hooker Ben Priddey scored 34 tries, full-back Aaron Simmonds amassed 145 points. Centres Connor Gilbert, Nico De Battista and Jordan Sidwell were prominent, along with the back three of Harry Larkins, Jack Davis and Jack Kessell.

R2 SOUTH CENTRAL

MARLBOROUGH

An extra special triumph for Marlborough, who were founder members of the RFU in 1871. They plundered 1,004 points, won all 22 matches and notched a 110-point maximum. It was their first promotion in five years under flanker Spanswick, who returned to the club after being with Blackheath, Henley and Newbury. Wing Akariva Seruvata top-scored with 34 tries, followed by full-back Will Reeve and hooker and Player of the Season Solomone Aniseko, both with 17. Goalkicking scrum-half Will Grant tallied 98 points before injury hit.

The Saints scored 1,043 points in winning all bar two of their 22 matches. It brought promotion to Level 5, the highest in the club’s history ahead of their 60th anniversary season. They had an indomitable team spirit, played fast, flowing rugby and amassed 318 points more than closest rivals Crediton.
