It's all very well amassing a collection of Porsches, but you can only travel with one car at a time, right? Well, actually, no. You see, if you're as resourceful as the expert coachbuilder responsible for producing the astonishing Martini Racing transport truck featured in our photographs, you can take four Porsches with you, wherever you go.

What started as a simple sketch grew into a huge project resulting in a facsimile of the 1971 Mercedes-Benz O317K Martini Racing truck used by Porsche to transport 917s to, among other events, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. As far as known, there are only two surviving original Porsche ‘renntransporters’ in the world, both in the possession of Porsche. Neither of the duo is ever likely to be offered for sale.
