1 THE LITTLE MERMAID
After three animated adventures Ariel gets the live-action treatment with HALLE BAILEY, one half of Grammy-nominated R&B duo Chloe x Halle, as the adventurous teenage mermaid keen to explore the world of humans.
Director Rob Marshall says this version of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale, while set in the 1830s, “is a very modern story about a girl who sees her life differently from anyone around her”.
“She embarks on an epic journey of self-discovery by breaking down walls and learning not to be afraid of the ‘other’, which in her case was the human world”.
