On March 17, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued a warrant of arrest for Russia’s President Vladimir Putin for alleged war crimes of unlawful deportation and transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
This follows a series of attempts by the international community to intervene through the UN in a bid to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The Resolution A/ES-11/7 passed on February 23, this year, was the latest attempt by the UN to condemn Russia.
