EVERY tree on Earth is unique. There may be features which make certain families and species of tree similar to one another, but each tree will be unique in some way. Some trees grow quickly, and others may take years to grow to their full height. There are trees that bear fruit, trees that are grown for their wood and trees that are vital to the survival of animals. Trees also improve air quality and give us oxygen. A simple way to classify trees is to examine how they lose their leaves. Let’s learn more about this, before we look at two evergreen trees that are indigenous to South Africa.
