Library of larks takes flight as Little lends her support

With the bunting for the composer’s 150th anniversary now stowed away, the Ralph Vaughan Williams in 1914, but a less common feature of our countryside today as lark numbers decline. The project, which will be made available to researchers, musicians and the public upon completion, is being supported by violinist Tasmin Little. ‘As someone who has experienced the joy of performing , and its deep effect upon audiences, I hope that this brand new archive will be a way to inspire the creation of new compositions to complement the existing repertoire,’ she says.
