Brad Mehldau The Folly of Desire

I’ve just finished doing a recording with Brad Mehldau of a piece he wrote for us called . We performed the piece a lot just before Covid and then recorded it last year. We had been performing it with Schumann’s , which has a lot of thematic connections, but instead of doing that the otherdo things like ‘In the Wee Small Hours’ and ‘Night and Day’ – in fact we segue from Schubert’s ‘Nacht und Träume’ into ‘Night and Day’.
