Gently placing the kids in their cots, I was knackered. Breastfeeding Lizzie, two, and newborn Conor, it was a pretty demanding role.

As a busy single mum, I had less time for myself and this was taking a toll on my diet. Grabbing a cheeseburger from McDonald’s was far easier than slaving over the stove and it wasn’t long until I piled on the pounds.

I have always been an active person and taken care of my figure, but when I became pregnant with Lizzie this took a back seat.
