Many stitchers think a tapestry needle is all you need for cross stitch, but it actually pays to have a small collection of different needles in your stash. Let’s look at some of the different types and what they’re used for:

Tapestry

Tapestry needles, or ‘cross stitch’ needles, have a blunt round point, rather than a sharp one. They’re designed for all types of counted thread work, as the blunt end allows you to lightly run the needle over the fabric until it finds a hole in the weave for the stitch – ideal for using with aida and evenweave fabric, as well as
