Farewell charity charters for veteran EMUs

TWO charity charters marking the end of two veteran electric multiple unit fleets ran on April 29, raising money for charities.

Greater Anglia’s Class 321 Farewell tour raised £22,200, which will be shared between East Anglia Children’s Hospice (EACH), Havens Hospices and the Railway Mission.

Meanwhile, a farewell charter for the Southern Class 313s raised around £25,000 for Chestnut Tree House Sussex children’s hospice and the Railway Children.

The GA train employed Nos. 321307 and 321314, with the pair running from London Liverpool Street to Clacton,
