Make your data go further
First, you should work out how much data you use every month. This will help you decide which mobile-data package suits your needs.
On Android, open Settings, then tap ‘Network and Internet’, followed by ‘Mobile network’ then ‘App data usage’. On an iPhone and iPad, open Settings and tap Mobile Data, then scroll down to Current Period to see how much data you’ve used since your statistics were last reset (see screenshot below left).
Depending on your network, the current period may relate to your billing cycle. This isn’t always the case, however, so scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Reset Statistics, then come back to this screen one month later to see what you’ve used in the meantime.
