Inside Bona Mugabe’s messy split
BONA MUGABE, daughter of Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Mugabe, has a massive property portfolio that she may have to split with her ex-husband as part of their divorce settlement.
Bona (33) filed for divorce from former pilot Simba Mutsahuni Chikore in March.
Simba wants half of their assets, which he says include a mansion in Dubai and 24 other residential properties, worth a total of around $80 million (R1,4 billion).
According to court papers, Bona also owns 21 farms – some of which were allegedly acquired by the Mugabe family during the contentious takeover of white-owned farms in the early 2000s –
