HAS IT REALLY been 12 months since we reported on the numerous pro wrestling spectaculars of spring 2022? Much has changed over the last year, but one thing remains very much the same: Grappling enthusiasts have been spoiled rotten with supercards held in various corners of the globe.

We’ve been told that part of the appeal of this magazine—and certainly our “Supercards” issues—lies in the time-capsule quality of PWI’s event coverage. SPLITTING WRESTLEMANIA UP into two days of unmitigated fun, surprises, and entertaining grappling action has proven to be a positive for WWE and its millions of fans. This year’s event had a lot to live up to after last year’s epic, two-night card, which included “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes’ inspiring WrestleMania return, Sasha Banks & Naomi’s thrilling WWE Women’s tag team championship win, and the unification of the WWE World and Universal heavyweight titles. WrestleMania 39 in the City of Angels seemed up for the challenge, offering a strong card, unforgettable moments, and shocking match outcomes that are sure to be discussed for many years to come.
