I WAS DELIGHTED when Editor-in-Chief Kevin McElvaney revived PWI’s “Supercard” issue in 2021, after the concept had remained dormant for two decades. “The Return Of Supercards” was the banner headline, touting coverage of New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom, AEW’s New Year’s Smash, and WWE’s Royal Rumble. But it didn’t feel exactly perfect until “Supercards ’22,” which featured WrestleMania 38, the Crockett Cup, and NJPW’s 50th Anniversary.
