THE winner of a Heritage Railway sponsored research competition commemorating the centenary of the opening of the entire 22-mile length of the Welsh Highland Railway from Dinas to Porthmadog via Rhyd Ddu has been chosen after the two judges faced a ‘challenge’ reaching their decision due to the high standard of the three entries that made it into the final.
