There is usually at least one moment when driving an E-type Series 1 that I get everything right: the perfect gear change, the perfect line through a corner and the perfect acceleration out of it. Due to the car being comparatively difficult to drive, it doesn’t happen often but when it does it’s a genuine moment of motoring nirvana.
