KTM'S 2023 RC16

As it turned out, the future wasn’t too bright for the original Orange company. The 1990s mobile phone firm with that particular tagline is long dead but luckily for us, it’s left the perfect intro to use whenever we talk about a certain bike maker from Austria…

It’s accurate, too. KTM (for it is they!) has a great line of road bikes, is a colossus off-road, and with business deals across India, China and Europe all going well, it’s a very successful operation in business terms.

It’s also doing very well in motoGP, perhaps surprisingly. A firm that got out of the race-replica super hike sector years ago -full-beans factory GP effort back in 2017 after showing off its prototype machine at Valencia the year before.
