THE bodies keep piling up – children, women, men, their corpses little more than skin and bone. And the more rescuers dig, the more bodies they find in the grounds of a sprawling ranch in a Kenyan forest. It’s a horror that beggars belief: children starved to death by their parents, allegedly on the orders of a cult-like leader who told them to refuse food and water in order to “meet Jesus”.
The mothers and fathers would then themselves stop eating in their quest to see their saviour.
