Spearhead hedgecutters: Spend more to get the best value

Pershore based Spearhead Machinery was initially best known for its flex wing rotary toppers, but its successful move into the hedgecutter/reach arm mower market in the mid 90’s soon attracted interest from the global Alamo Group who acquired the brand in 2005. Alamo already owned McConnel, Bomford Turner and Twose, so there were those who suggested Spearhead Excel hedgecutters would be either dropped or models produced by one of the exiting brands would be adopted and just painted in Spearhead colours.
