US VP Kamala Harris set for Africa trip to bolster ties

THE WHITE House announced that US vice president Kamala Harris will embark on her first state visit to the African continent.

Harris will land in Ghana on March 25, then in Tanzania and conclude with Zambia on April 2.

She is the 18th American government official and the first senior official to travel to Africa.
