Future assured for only Wisbech & Upwell loco

THE sole-surviving former Wisbech & Upwell Tramway (W&UT) loco, Class 04 No. 11103 put up for sale at the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway (RM April p68) has been acquired and moved to a most appropriate railway.

The 0-6-0DM has joined the Mangapps’ fleet, which includes seven other ‘Drewry’-design locos of BR Classes 03 and 04, and a similar industrial version.

The priority is to complete the loco’s radiator repairs to enable it to run again.
