STUDIO SHOP Gallery in Burlingame, Ca. opens a unique exhibit of early works by the prolific California-based artist Roland Petersen this month, “Roland Petersen: Spotlight on the Seventies.”

The show spotlights the painter’s acrylic pieces from his 1970s-era Series, many of which works will show an entirely new side of this Bay Area master. “For those who only know of his oil-based landscape Series, seeing Roland’s acrylic  paintings with their hard-edged and exuberant color field and perspective of the artist floating in the air promises to be a ‘wow’ moment,” says gallery owner Janet Martin in the press release.
