Getting your pride and joy in and out of your transporter might seem like a non-event but have you seen those YouTube videos where it all goes horribly wrong? If you’ve ever been to a large motorcycle event, be it a race or trail ride, you’ve probably witnessed a fellow rider struggling to get their dirtbike in and out of their transporter, I know I have.
I’ve seen all kinds of ill-fated attempts to get a bike out of a van or off a ute. I’ve seen blokes stuck under bikes, bikes hanging off the back of a tailgate and bikes soaring through the air like Robbie Maddison over the top of their transporter. But, it doesn’t have to be that hard!
There’s a plethora of different ramps to choose from that suit different vehicles. Having the right ramp for your vehicle is almost more important than the vehicle itself. If you can’t load your bike without a second person then you may not even get to your riding destination and if you can’t unload it when you get there you’ll embarrass yourself before you even throw a leg over your ride.
