really young, maybe three or four years old, my imaginary friend Skynd appeared, and he opened up my world to true crime. I grew up with all those stories and it sparked the idea of writing about true events and in particular telling stories through songs, like do with I could speak about all the songs on that album, but is the one that just never gets old for me. is such a futuristic topic to sing about – especially when it was originally written [in 1989]. It’s about a computer that’s going to be your friend and be there when you’re lonely. It’s actually a really sad story about depression. That song is also part of my childhood and an inspiration for Skynd [the band], with the vocal effects and how she tells a story.
