Gambling gran performs

double bill

Writer-director Ashwin Singh will stage two plays at the Playhouse soon.

This includes High Stakes, Singh’s one-woman play starring classical Indian dancer Sivani Chinappan-Moodley.

The production will run with Reoca Light, starring Rory Booth, which played to packed houses in Durban and London.

The double bill forms part of the Playhouse Company’s New Stages Festival which takes place in three weeks.

Singh said High Stakes was a more detailed exploration of the character Gita Singh who first appeared in his 2013 play, Beyond the Big
