Beware of ‘recycling entrepreneurs’ who only want to get richer

MY MOTHER would often dress my younger brother and I in matching clothes. This she did whether she bought garments or stitched them herself. I never bothered to ask my mother why. After all, we were not twins.

I recall now that in many other families in the neighbourhood and among our relatives, brothers dressed alike – and so did sisters. Matching clothes were in vogue.

I wonder if my mother worked out that it made shopping faster since she had to pick only one outfit and look for the corresponding sizes. Did clothes that were identical make laundry
