DVD: BRANCH LINES OF OXFORDSHIRE

THE latest in a series of branch line DVDs from 1st Take focuses on Oxfordshire, including those lines in the GWR and LNWR networks.

It begins with a brief introduction to the development of railways in the county, then takes an in-depth look at each of the current and former branch lines, including Henley to Twyford, Princes Risborough to Chinnor/ Watlington and Thame/Oxford, and Oxford to Bicester.

There is also a tribute to Didcot Railway Centre, plus a look at some ‘hidden gem’ stations and a cab ride on the Chinnor & Princes Risborough heritage line.
