Criminal records of lockdown offenders could be cleared

COVID-19 REGULATIONS

People who were fined for breaking Covid-19 lockdown regulations in the country may see their criminal records expunged. And those who falsely claim to be victims of domestic violence could be penalised.

These were some of the changes the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development intends to make under the Judicial Matters Amendment Bill, 2023.
