“A common recess-time snack in my primary school days, these meager chocolate wafer biscuits were brittle, dry and uninteresting, filled with a needle-thin layer of chocolate cream that you could barely taste. Yet here I am, two decades later, describing these wafers with a mixture of fondness and disdain.
