Jade says: Flocking, which is traditionally made from sheep's wool, is used as the ‘stuffing’ inside the panels of your saddle that sit on your horse's back. Over time, the flock can ball up, go hard, lumpy or flatten out, causing gaps. A wool-flocked saddle should be regularly maintained every three to six months, with a full strip and re-flocking every two years.
