Most photographers have personal projects and whether they’re big or small, eventually the idea of sharing the work with a wider audience inevitably emerges. Realising that not everybody sees the vision is often disappointing, but sometimes it’s a matter of biding your time and waiting for other opportunities. Retired professional photographer Robert Gray spent nearly a decade on one of his personal projects documenting Brisbane’s many and varied places of worship… and then waited another decade for it to find an outlet.
