A BEAUTIFUL ESCAPE

What do you do while longing for the chance to travel again? For Singapore-based couple Mark and Felicity Sainsbury, they have a newly-acquired Bali villa they could look forward to visiting, to tide them over the stressful period when they were grounded by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although the couple had already appointed an Indonesian architect to design a modern minimalist house in Canggu, Bali, they had not hired an interior designer for this project when the pandemic started; the travel restrictions threw another spanner into the works, as they were unable to travel to Indonesia for several years. When they met E&A Interiors founder Chloe Elkerton through a mutual friend in 2020, a sense of camaraderie was instantly formed;
