SET ALIGHT by my PHONE CHARGER

Driving home from the Barossa Valley, SA, on a warm autumn day, I flicked on the radio.

It was May 2014 and, working in the wine industry, I was moving some tools and other bits and bobs back to Adelaide, so I had the back seats down in my 4WD.

Heading towards a servo, I remembered I had a jerry can in the back.

I’ll fill that up with petrol, I decided, thinking it would be useful for my boat.

Filling the can, I placed it behind the passenger seat.

Nearing Adelaide, I was going 110 km/ph on the expressway noise.
