In Oulton Park’s sodden second season-opening Easter Monday race Mercedes GT superstar pair Jules Gounon and Raffaele Marciello went head to head and reduced the rest to bit-part players. And it was Gounon, alongside reigning champion Ian Loggie in a 2 Seas Merc, who prevailed after a pit penalty for Marciello and John Ferguson’s RAM version resolved the absorbing battle.
