Douglas Brooks

Douglas Brooks is a gifted writer and teacher as well as a highly skilled maker of Japanese wooden boats. He was recently in Australia as a guest of Japanese Tools Australia.

Douglas had just finished running a two-week Japanese boatbuilding workshop at Harvard University and was keen to repeat the well-honed practical component at the Australian Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart and then again in the JTA workshop at Kogarah, Sydney. Douglas had nothing but praise for the Wooden Boat
