This kettle has a timeless design and the craftsmanship is exceptional. We were impressed with the speed of heating – it was the fastest in our tests to come up to temperature at full capacity (14 minutes on a medium gas flame) and when we boiled smaller quantities. It retained the heat very well after it was removed from the heat source. It’s a little on the heavy side, but we considered the weight manageable. The exterior got hot but the handle and spout lever remained cool, making it easy to pour the water. The narrow spout is great for precise pouring; we didn’t need to tilt the kettle much.
