I can't remember when I wasn't either directly or indirectly involved in some form of shooting. As a child, I took a great deal of interest in all of my toy guns and just couldn't wait to get hold of a ‘real' one. This came to pass when I was about 12, on holiday in Cornwall with my brother and parents.
The owner of the guest house we used to stay at once showed me what I think was a Light Pattern BSA from the pre-WWII period. To say I was keen to shoot it was an understatement, and it didn't take long for my brother and I to buy ourselves tins of the classic orange-labelled Eley Wasp pellets.
