I AM A Philadelphia-based oil painter and my work encompasses urbanscapes and landscapes of all types. I often do smaller oils on site and then develop larger works back in the studio. Sometimes, I want to change my viewpoint or add things to the composition and work much larger, so I frequently use photos and sketches as references for my larger compositions. The work described here was commissioned by a client as a gift for her husband. When working on a commissioned piece the client’s wishes sometimes override my own. Good
