Billionaire breaks off engagement
JUST two weeks after RUPERT MURDOCH (92) announced his engagement to ANN LESLEY SMITH (66), the couple have called off the wedding.
The media mogul, who’s worth a whopping $17 billion (R308,8bn), proposed to the former dental hygienist on St Patrick’s Day with an 11-carat diamond ring valued at around $2,5m (R45,4m).
“I was very nervous,” he said at the time. “I dreaded falling in love – but I knew this would be my last. It better be, I’m happy.”
